American Legion Riders

The American Legion Riders Post 49 have always supported local Veterans by purchasing much needed supplies such as fuel oil, paying electric bills and filling the gap where the VA could not help. Over the previous years we have purchased various medical supplies for veterans, donated to programs that assist local veterans, such as the Veterans-Serving-Veterans Food Pantry Program and the Patriots Cove Program for disabled veterans. The ALR Post 49 Relief Fund can also help with funding, pay fuel costs or provided other needs as requested. The ALR will obtain the bill from the individual in need and if the person provides proof that he or she is a veteran, the bill is paid directly to the vendor.

Thanks to the support of the community, local businesses and riders like you, we have been able to make this a reality! About the Relief Fund

In 2018, the Troy American Legion Riders Post 49 established a Veterans Relief Fund to assist local veterans in need. Our goal was to raise money through our annual motorcycle ride and Chinese Auction in order to be able to provide direct financial assistance to local veterans with small, immediate, financial needs.
Starting in 2022 we began hosting a charity golf tournament as a means to raise further funds to support our Veterans Relief Fund.
